Lightning Covers

VSP Lightning covers are made to last!

VSP One-Piece Trailering cover - Our unique "Clamshell" design.  100% Polyester "Top Gun" one-piece, center zip trailing cover.  Features include vinyl reinforcements at chainplates, mainsheet, compass, and splashrail "V".  This loose fitting cover offers the unique feature of a 1 piece design that can be be partially removed and re-covered by one person for working on the deck or topsides of your boat!   Recent upgrades include cross straps to keep the cover tight when you unzip the top $640. VSP Two-Piece Travel cover -  We now offer a two-piece travel cover for Lightning sailors who prefer this style. We use 100% Polyester Top Gun fabric which is the most durable cover fabric on the market.  Our covers are primarily built with "inside seaming" so the stitching can't rot. Top cover include vinyl reinforcements at chainplates, mainsheet, compass, and splashrail. VSP Mast cover - The best mast cover available!  Heavy Top Gun polyester, dual zippers for easy on and off (no more sliding the cover over the mast) vinyl reinforcing at the bottom of the mast, at the masthead, and at the mast stand.  Covers include pocket to allow extra room so compass mounts can stay on the mast when trailering! $165

VSP Rudder cover - fully padded, now with extra thick padding. $90

VSP Hiking Straps - the best padded straps available.  These straps are made out of heavier webbing and use wider padding for more comfort.  Your choice of colors.  Forward two straps have heavy duty webbing reinforcement for "anti-board-chafe."  Set of 3 straps $135

VSP Drysail cover - Heavy duty Top Gun polyester.  No boom crutch required.  This is the best fitting Drysail cover made for Lightnings. Includes all tie down lines.  $430.  Drysail cover photos.


Chine Length Drysail Cover - Our drysail cover now can be ordered with a chine length "skirt".  The skirts are a lighter-weight 100% polyester Odyssey cover fabric.  $630  or we can add them to your existing VSP Drysail cover.  Drysail cover photos.
